SALE Science Themes
SALE's research agenda is comprised of seven interrelated science themes: Geodynamics of Lake Evolution; Subglacial Hydrology; Limnology and Biogeochemistry; Microbiological Life, Evolution, and Adaptations; Ice Sheet Dynamics; Paleoclimate Records; and Global Climate Connections. Scientific objectives within each theme are often dependent on collaborations with and information from scientists, experts and projects addressing questions in the other scientific arenas. The SALE research portfolio of programs and projects is indicative of the cross- and interdisciplinary nature of SALE exploration and science.
